Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) don give strong warning to their members wey dey support President Bola Tinubu for 2027 second term matter, say that kain support na “anti-party” and e go against wetin dey inside PDP constitution.
For statement wey come out on Friday, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, talk say di party’s National Working Committee (NWC) dey worry about how some big members dey publicly support di ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dis kain behaviour no follow our party constitution at all, and e fit scatter PDP from inside,” Ologunagba talk. “We dey give strong warning to everybody wey dey do am, make dem turn back now or dem go collect heavier punishment under Section 59(1) of our constitution.”
PDP still remind their members about wetin dey inside Section 10(6) of di party constitution wey talk say: “No member of di party suppose join body with other parties or groups to do anything wey go weaken di party or any of its elected government.”
Dis warning come shortly afta some top PDP people begin hail President Tinubu. For July 28, former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, sharply support Tinubu for second term during one APC event for Ado-Ekiti, together with APC Governor Biodun Oyebanji and him deputy.
Just few days before dat, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, still show support for Tinubu 2027 plan afta one meeting with PDP leaders for Osun. Adeleke even talk say di endorsement na because Tinubu be “proud son of Osun.”
PDP NWC talk say all dis kain support dey cause more division and fit spoil PDP chance for future elections. Dem beg members make dem remain loyal, focus on unity, and get ready for di party National Convention wey go happen for November 15–16, 2025, for Ibadan, Oyo State.
